Doug Kintz began his insurance career as an Underwriter with State Farm Insurance after graduating from USC, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English for teaching. He taught as a substitute teacher in both the Orange County School District and the Torrance Unified School District. While working at State Farm, he attended law School at Western State College of Law and studied for his Fire and Casualty, Agents License and his Life and Disability license.

After leaving State Farm, Doug became an Agent with Farmers Insurance Group. After only two years, Doug was promoted to the position of District Manager, where he recruited and trained new agents. At the time, he was the youngest District Manager in Orange County.

In addition to a long and productive career of 47 years in the insurance industry, Doug has been married to his wife, Teri, for  45 years. He has 3 sons, Douglas II, Christopher and Jonathan. He is a devoted to his family.

Besides his family, Doug is also committed to God, Country, and his Clients, some of whom have been with him from the beginning of his career, when he knocked on thousands of doors to develop his practice.

Doug has always been a leader. From being Pledge Class President of the Delta Eta Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at USC, to being President of a Political Action Committee called Anaheim H.O.M .E.,   Doug has always been involved in helping others. Because of his efforts, over 14,000 single family homes were protected from being taken from individual homeowners and given to the City of Anaheim for a redevelopment project. Doug is a big believer in private property rights as a fundamental basis of the U.S. Constitution.

Since the death of his brother-in-law in 1983, who did not have an adequate Estate Plan, Doug has been committed to a mission of comprehensive Financial and Estate Planning for his clients by working with both Attorneys and Certified Public Accountants. His mission is to help his clients attain both wealth accumulation and wealth conservation by using safe insurance products and conservative planning strategies.

A former marathon runner, Doug’s favorite expression is “There is no man who has endurance, like the man who sells insurance!”
